A Commercial Kitchen Renovation at El Camino Homeless Organization (ECHO)

must! charities is pleased to announce a project revision! Formerly a kitchen renovation, now A Community Kitchen & Culinary Workforce Development Center! What began in 2019 as a $130,000 investment has recently morphed into a $385,000 investment to serve ECHO residents and the ENTIRE North County Community better.

must! charities committed $500,000 to a partnership with El Camino Homeless Organization (ECHO), the only homeless shelter serving north San Luis Obispo County. The half-million dollar partnership is the largest commitment made by must! charities. The four-year plan includes multiple phases with the goal of serving the community by increasing efficiencies and strengthening the success rate of finding permanent housing for homeless families.

must! charities is committed to a four year, $262,551 collaboration with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) to address the un-met needs they have in San Luis Obispo's North County. By pursuing the four year plan, CASA will not only be able to help more children in the North County find safe, nurturing, and permanent homes, CASA will also be able sustain this program after support from must! charities is completed.

Boys & Girls Club - Atascadero

In 2014 we were approached by The Kiwanis Club of Atascadero inquiring about our investment in the Boys and Girls Club. Kiwanis wanted The Club to be the beneficiary of their 2015 Winemaker's Dinner. We said, "Great! What do you think about a three year partnership if we match dollars?" And that is the beginning of the project for a year-round after school club in Atascadero.
