Class President & Football Player: Big Brothers Big Sisters Happy Match Story

Martin was the biggest kid in 7th grade, but he was quiet and shy at school. He never stood up to the bullies who teased him about his hand-me-down clothes and slow speech. His mom worried he would drop out and join a gang, just like her oldest son had. Big Brother Tom helped Martin see he had other options. He encouraged Martin go out for football and Martin loved being part of a team. He stared making friends with the other players.

Even with all the positive changes in Martin, no one expected him to run for class president. Everyone one was surprised when he won, everyone except his Big Brother. Martin and Tom are one of the 50 Big and Little matches that must!charities has supported this year in North County!
